Comment / Saga Airlines are regular visitors to Newcastle this summer, operating to Turkey on behalf of Scottravel with their Boeing 737-400s and -800s. TC-SGD is seen arriving here, wearing a basic Air Algerie scheme following a recent spell on lease to the African carrier.

Comment / Originally delivered to BA in December 1993, this Boeing 737 was leased out to EuroBelgian Airlines and Air Provence for a short while as OO-LTS, before returning to the British register in 1996.

Comment / You won't find a younger Boeing 737 Classic series aircraft than this! OK-FGS was the last of the type to roll off the line in Seattle in 2000, before production was concentrated solely on the 737NG.

Comment / Centralwings started a new route from Warsaw to Stansted in the winter, and is due to fly up to 5 services a week during the coming summer. It looks as if this Boeing 737-400, SP-LLE, has only recently been repainted from a hybrid LOT scheme into the smart Centralwings colours.

Comment / OK-FGR was the last but one Boeing 737 Classic built by Boeing. She was delivered along with OK-FGS (the very last one) on the 25th February 2000. The early morning mist lingers on!

Comment / I remember that just before I took this photo, I remarked how religious CSA were with sending their 737-500s into Stansted. Sure enough, this series -400 was the next one in! OK-WGX has long been a familiar sight over London's skies - for 12 years from 1992 she served with British Airways as G-DOCI.

Comment / The first KLM arrival of the day into Newcastle - flight 957 from Amsterdam.
